When you factory order a car, when do you start making payments?

I’m interested in factory ordering a 2010 Shelby mustang. do i have to wait until i actually take delivery (12-16 weeks) to give a down payment and begin making payments, or will they expect me to start making payments and give them the down payment the day i order it?
