what size is 2001 deville factory subwoofer and how to wire in different amp?

I have a 2001 cadillac deville dts with a factory subwoofer in the rear deck panel. I cannot tell what size it is. I wanted to replace it with a better one and also wire in a different amp. I found what appears to be the BOSE amp inside the trunk area behind the rear seat, but it has a dozen wires going to it, so i’m assuming it powers all the car’s speakers. Does anyone know a way to wire in an amp just for the sub?

Can you install a different subwoofer other than the factory 8″ JBL sub in a 2000 avalon?
