I have a DELL laptop, and I have a virus that never stops. I am so sick of trying to get rid of it that this is my last resort to save my computer I’ve lost the restoration discs that came with the laptop, is it possible to restore my laptop back to its factory settings without the disc? I have Windows XP, let me know if there’s anything else you might need to know to help Thanks a lot in advance.

this is a bit complicated… i installed a bootleg copy of windows 7 on my dell xps1330 laptop which originally came with windows vista, now i want to restore my laptop to factory settings cause i just wanna purge it of all viruses and whatnot but i can’t. When i try the “Dell factory image restore” it doesn’t work anymore like it used to (probably cause i installed a new OS, windows 7). how do i fix this? i just want to erase everything from my laptop and restore it to it’s original state. HELP!

I have a Dell inspiron 1545 laptop , i want to restore it to its factory sitting but wont work, here how i do it.
1-press and hold F8 it takes me to Vista Advanced Boot Options Window.
2-Select the Repair Your Computer Option but instead of it take me to System Recovery Options ,it takes me to the windows password page where u get access to the windows .
i need help on this please post me ur suggestions…

I have all the disks to reinstall everything like the software and operating system etc… just dont know how to reset factory settings?

It is a Dell Studio Laptop 1536. It has soo many viruses and I just got it for Christmas but I already am hating it. How can I restore it to factory default settings?
