How would I recover a Toshiba laptop computer to factory settings?
Model is A200
I can’t even get into the desktop. I don’t have a recovery disc. Is there a key or keys that I can push while starting the computer up to return it to factory settings? Can you please think of anything that would be able to reset my computer?
Will a usb flash drive be able to recover my computer if I have a recovery file? Give me a link that will allow me to download for FREE, a recovery file for the computer
Thanks ahead of time

toshiba supplies recovery discs only there are no hidden partition save your drivers folder from your C: drive on the a200 and then you will need to reinstall [who]
Here is a potential solution:
As windows loads, press the F8 key constantly until you reach an advanced options menu.
From there you might try booting windows with safe mode to try and see what is wrong or try booting computer under last functioning settings or even attempt running the windows recovery program. [who]
If you do not have a Recovery CD then you cannot restore it back. However, some Laptop has a in-built Recovery Hotkey ( usually F10 ) upon startup.
Another way is to get hold of a Original Window XP CD and load it as if you are setting up a new pc. Your only problem is to search for the relevant Drivers that this laptop need to function properly e.g. Graphic, LAN, Audio drivers etc
Hope this helps. [who]
while starting your pc press F8 or DEL & enter in boot menu, then select the CD/DVD drive as a first priority device and by using a windows 7 cd or dvd u can setup the operating system. u can’t use a flash drive for recovery. u better send ur laptop to TOSHIBA servicing center & i hope they will give u a suggestion.
