How do I use a 4 channel converter to use my factory radio with my amplifier ?
I have a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I want to use the factory radio with my amp and sub-woofer. I brought a 4 channel converter but I don’t know how to hook it up. I am trying to save a lil cash by doing it myself. It looks easy but I don’t wanna cut the wrong wires. If anyone can help, hit me up and let me hear your solutions.

Don’t cut any wires, that’s the first mistake most people make.
You can just tap off of the existing speaker wires from the stereo. It would be highly recommended to follow the instructions that should have come with the converter.
If you only have one sub, then a 4-channel converter was a bit much. Those are mainly used for 4-channel amps to power four aftermarket speakers.
You might get away with just tapping off of one set of speaker wires in the back as this is all you should need.
Keep in mind, you may not get the desired results as these tend to be on the lower quality side and you will only get bass from the speaker that you wire from. Some bass tracks will have bass in one or the other but usually both speakers.
One way to avoid this is to get a line level mixer and use both rear speakers throught the mixer to the amp. These aren’t typically used and can be quite difficult to find. sparky3489
It’s not difficult. The converter has 2 ports, input and output. the inputs of the converter are the speakers wires, and the output is the RCA cables. Connect the speaker wire from any of your rear speakers to the input of the converter, then connect a RCA cable to the output of the converter, and the other extreme of the same cable is connected to the input channel of the amp, ch 1, ch2 , depending on which ch u r using. There a remaning wire in the converter it is the ground wire, you can connect it to the chassis or to the amp ground terminal or the ground wire of the unit. electhrolite
