All you need to do is format your hard drive. Here:
are instructions on how to do it on a Windows XP. If your using another OS, just search how to format hard drive for the OS you have. Only problem is, you won’t have your OS any more, and you’ll have to get it somehow, but your HD will be back to factory settings. [who]
Your PC DOES have recovery partition OR your PC came WITH a Recovery / System disk, that is specifically for your Model of NEC laptop.
Do NOT try to use any other Windows disk and do NOT attempt to format your hard drive.
Read The Friendly Manual (RTFM) for your laptop and look in the Table of Contents for a relevant topic. Then, follow ALL the installation instructions, maintenance procedures and “How To’s” to the letter.
To reset your PC to “Factory Specs” with a fresh version of Windows, look for “Re-install Windows / Recovery Disks / Recovery Procedures”, or something similar in the User Manual.
TIP: Create your Recovery Disks, if they are on the hard drive, before you do anything else. Then, backup all your personal data. Finally, do the Factory Recovery, it will format your hard drive properly.
Still Stuck?
Call the manufacturer for tech support. If you lost the original disks, order replacements there. [who]
