How do I hook up a subwoofer to a 2009 Malibu factory stereo?

I would like to use the factory stereo and have an amp and subwoofer that I was able to hook up in my old car to an after market stereo. Can you tap into the rear speaker lines and convert them to RCAs? If so, does anyone know the wiring diagram. Also, I was reading that the car has an amp in the trunk that I could tap into. Anyone know if this is worth it? Thanks for the help.

Yea if it has an amp u can connect your sub orthewise u have to get an amp connect it from the stereo run some wires from the trunk check u local stereo shop they can give advise and prices on doing something like that kool2shade
