How do I restore my computer to factory settings it got hit with a virus or something so now a stupid antivirus scan thing pops up everytime I try to do something.I really dont mind losing files I have everything backed up I need to.When I put my cd in it gives me options for a restore which are 2 one from way back when and the same settings as now.I want to make it the way it was at the begining but how do I do that?

I have been wanting reset the router to factory defaults, so I could connect with a few wireless devices. I don’t plan to leave it unsecured, and would feel much more comfortable knowing how to re-secure it just as the person as the person who set it up in the first place did. Any other ideas on how to temporarily “un-secure” and re-secure a wireless network would be good, too.

How do you restore it back to factory settings? I tried to do the system recovery and it asked for an administrative password, which I don’t have

I don’t have the restore disks and I don’t want Windows 7 anymore, I just wanna go back to XP. My recovery console asks for an administrator password, but I have no clue what it is, I never set one. Can anyone help?
